GERING – On January 23, at the Gering Civic Center, North Platte Natural Resource District will be presenting area agriculture producers with the educational trainings and workshops.
Special guests Brian Hefty from Ag Ph.D. and his brother Darren Hefty will be discussing a variety of agriculture topics. The Hefty brothers are well known in the agriculture industry for their innovative and progressive approaches in crop production. The brothers also run the television program Ag Ph.D. seen on RFD TV. The agriculture duo can also be heard on Ag Ph.D. Radio on Sirius XM.
During the workshop, North Platte Natural Resource District will be covering topics such as how much nitrogen soil can hold, how to increase nitrogen without leaching, fundamental keys to yields besides the use of nitrogen, how dangerous are pesticides to humans and the environment and many more during the event. The Hefty brothers will also discuss their personal experiences in crop production and how proper nutrient management can affect your bottom line, according to the North Platte Natural Resource District’s press release.
