Nebraska Wheat Board meeting set

LINCOLN, Neb. – The next regular meeting of the Nebraska Wheat Board is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 19, at the Eastern Nebraska Research Center.
The Eastern Nebraska Research Center, is located at 1071 County Road G, Ithaca, NE 68033.
The meeting will begin at 12 p.m. CST and adjourn at 5 p.m. The planned agenda includes a first reading of all FY 2018-19 funding proposals, reports from board members, contractor reports, and a review of upcoming events and travel.
Guest speakers will include Amanda Ramer-Tait, an assistant professor of immunology and microbiology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; Mark Wilkins, director of the Industrial Agricultural Products Center; and Nancy Johner, executive director of the Nebraska Farm Service Agency.
The public is welcome to attend any open portion of the meeting. Interested individuals may contact the NWB office for a copy of the agenda or for more information.
The Nebraska Wheat Board administers the check-off of 0.4% of net value of wheat marketed in Nebraska at the point of first sale. The board invests the funds in programs of international and domestic market development and improvement, policy development, research, promotion, and education.
