Gering, Neb. – First-term U.S. Senator Deb Fischer, a Cherry County, Nebraska rancher, kicked off her reelection bid Saturday during a five-stop, whirlwind tour of the state.
Fischer, joined by former Neb. governors Kay Orr and Dave Heineman, spoke to a group of about 25 supporters last Saturday at the Legacy of the Plains Museum in Gering.
Governor Heineman touted Fischer as the kind of Senator who is focused on the betterment of the nation rather than partisan politics. “She’ll work with anyone, Republican or Democrat,” he said.
