Speaker of the Wyoming House Steve Harshman announced that Rep. Hans Hunt (R-Newcastle) will replace former Rep. Robert McKim as the chairman of the House Agriculture, State and Public Lands and Water Resources Committee and serve as co-chair of the Joint Agriculture, State and Public Lands and Water Resources Committee.

Hunt new chair of House Ag Comm

CHEYENNE – Speaker of the Wyoming House Steve Harshman announced that Rep. Hans Hunt (R-Newcastle) will replace former Rep. Robert McKim as the chairman of the House Agriculture, State and Public Lands and Water Resources Committee and serve as co-chair of the Joint Agriculture, State and Public Lands and Water Resources Committee.
McKim resigned on Sept. 12. The Lincoln County Commissioners will appoint someone from a list of three individuals submitted pursuant to Wyoming Statute 22-18-111(a)(iii) to fill the vacant seat for House District 21 in the coming weeks.

Hunt represents portions of Niobrara, Weston and Goshen counties.
“We are grateful to Rep. McKim and his family for his service to the State of Wyoming,” Harshman said. “He has represented the good people of Lincoln County with a level of graciousness the past eight years that is a credit to
our state.
“We wish him much success and happiness in all his future endeavors,” he said. “The House Agriculture Committee will continue to be in good hands with Chairman Hunt.
