SCOTTSBLUFF — Keep Scottsbluff/Gering Beautiful and Main Street Market are teaming up to celebrate Earth Day on Saturday April 24. The event will take place at Main Street Market in Scottsbluff from 10 a.m. to noon.
The North Platte Natural Resource District will be giving away trees during the event and the Scottsbluff High School FFA Chapter will be testing well water samples. The event will also feature cardboard collection and document shredding. Attendees can also bring in a bag full of plastic bags and receive a reusable cloth bag.
Used propane bottles and auto batteries can also be recycled at Mr. Tire during this event. No household batteries, tires, or electronics will be accepted.
Organizers are excited to be able to host the event once again this year. For more information about the event, contact Keep Scottsbluff-Gering Beautiful at 308-632-4649.
