TORRINGTON – Learn to fly and race a drone at the Drone Cup Challenge on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Eastern Wyoming College’s Agriculture Technology Education Center (ATEC) located at 3401 West C St. in Torrington, Wyoming. “This is a great opportunity to learn how to fly a drone and have fun doing it,” EWC Precision Agriculture Instructor Matt Scott said. “The college will provide the drones; you just have to show up.” The challenge is for any students from kindergarten to college to learn to fly a drone in the morning, starting at 10 a.m. Then at 12:30 p.m., students will have the opportunity to race a drone through an obstacle course. “Students and educators are welcome to come and participate,” Scott said. The cost is $10 to enter. Participates will be divided into two different groups, K-12 and college students and teachers. Prizes will be awarded in each division. To pre-register visit www.caperteam.com/stub/idrone-231202. Participates will also receive a Wyoming Drone Flight t-shirt (while supplies last). For more information, call Matt Scott at 307-534-2418.
