GERING, Neb. – Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin May 15 on L-62A, near
Minatare, at the junction of US-26/L-62A (Moomaw’s Corner) to the junction of US-385/L-62A, R.P. 0+29 to R.P. 9+19, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads.
Werner Construction LLC, of Hastings, Neb., has the $4.1 million contract. Work includes concrete repair, asphalt surfacing, rumble strips, paved shoulders, earth shoulders and seeding.
Traffic will be maintained with flaggers and a pilot vehicle during daytime hours only with reduced speeds and a 12-foot width restriction. Work is anticipated to be completed in late fall.
The Department of Roads’ manager for this project is Maryanne Jacobs of Gering. Motorists are urged to use caution while driving through construction zones.
