Scottsbluff, Neb. – The West Nebraska Arts Center will host the annual the Platte Valley Artist Guild show and open house Saturday.

The show is presented with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment. The exhibit, sponsored by Platte Valley Companies, continues at West Nebraska Arts Center through Dec. 3.

Everyone is invited to the gallery for the North Platte Valley Artist Guild Annual Art Show open house. The NPVAG Open House will be on Saturday, Nov. 18. The Open House features original, hand-crafted ornaments, artwork, prints, notecards, journals, postcards and more plus the opportunity to meet many of the artists. Open house hours will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Coffee and desserts will also be served. The gallery exhibit and open house are free and open to the public.

The North Platte Valley Artist Guild is an organization of individuals interested in the visual arts who are looking for education, encouragement and inspiration. General membership meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m., at West Nebraska Arts Center. NPVAG is a community-minded group that offers an annual scholarship for prospective young artists. To raise funds for the North Platte Valley Artist Guild Scholarship, guild artists donated their artistic talents and created artwork on a 10’X10’ canvas. A 100% of sales from the 10’X10’s will go directly to the scholarship fund.

Gallery hours are Tuesday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. WNAC will be closed Nov. 23 to 26 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
