NORTH PLATTE, Neb. – The Nebraska Wheat Board (NWB) will hold its next meeting Wednesday, May 30, at the Mid Plains Community College – North Campus, 1101 Halligan Drive, North Platte. The meeting will be held in room 206 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST. An executive session is tentatively slated for 3 p.m.
The meeting will include a second-reading of funding proposals and establishment of a budget for fiscal year 2019-2020. It will also include a current fiscal year financial review, reports from NWB board members, contractor reports, and a review of upcoming events and travel. The public is welcome to attend any open portion of the meeting. Interested individuals may contact the NWB office for a copy of the detailed agenda or for more information.
The Nebraska Wheat Board administers the check-off of 0.4 percent of net value of wheat marketed in Nebraska at the point of first sale. The board invests the funds in programs of international and domestic market development and improvement, policy development, research, promotion,
and education.
