GERING, Neb. – This holiday season is a time to celebrate spending time with friends and family near and far. In order for the park staff to spend time with their families Scotts Bluff National Monument Visitor Center and Summit Road will be closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
The remainder of the park will be open from sunrise to sunset and the public is welcome to park in the parking lot and take advantage of the hiking trails. Pedestrians may also make use of the Summit Road since no vehicle traffic will be present these two days. As always, pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and their owners clean up after them. Enjoy the Holiday Season and Happy New Year.
All Monument trails are open from sunrise until sunset. Please inquire about the Scotts Bluff National Monument Annual Pass valid for one year from the purchase date.
