Expanding into gov’t markets topic of seminar

CHADRON, Neb. – Government buyers are looking for quality products and services at competitive prices. However, some Nebraska businesses do not have all the information and resources required to successfully compete for government contracts. The Nebraska Business Development Center levels the playing field by offering businesses throughout the state the educational opportunities and strategic marketing and bidding support they need to compete.

On Oct. 19, the Chadron office of the Nebraska Business Development Center will host the Western Nebraska Meet The Buyers Conference. Open to any business interested in growing sales and revenue through marketing to government agencies, the event is offered at no charge from 1 – 5 p.m. at the Chadron State College Student Center in Chadron.

The event will feature presentations by local, state, and federal government agencies seeking to purchase services and products in western Nebraska, including Chadron State College, Pine Ridge Job Corps Center, Forest Service, Nebraska Department of Roads, NPPD, Ellsworth Air Force Base, Warren Air Force Base, and the National Park Service. Participants will learn about the contracting requirements of individual agencies and meet one-on-one with their representatives. NBDC government contracting consultants will also be on hand to describe their services and offer assistance.
